I can see the great influence. Is there a historical account, on your site, of when this migrated to India? Do you know of any other sources of this history?
I am reminded of Idris Shah’s account of Sufism greatly influencing India’s spiritual traditions, observable from the nineth century onward. I would expect that this tradition probably arrived there around that time as well.
